These cupcakes are going to be your favorite dessert from now on! Start with spiced cinnamon cupcakes as the base. Then, they are filled with a delicious homemade apple filling and topped with a smooth and silky caramel Swiss meringue buttercream. You don't need a lot of frosting for this as the cupcakes are sweet. A small amount of frosting goes a long way.
Apple pies are sometimes topped with vanilla ice cream. If you like that version, go ahead and top each cupcake with vanilla ice cream instead. Just make sure to add the ice cream when ready to serve!
