Christmas is never complete without gingerbread. This is why I love baking these gingerbread cupcakes every holiday!
This recipe is really simple and not at all complicated. Start with gingerbread cupcakes as the base. Molasses and brown sugar form a rich flavor, combined with all the spices that make these cupcakes flavorful. Then, they are topped with a delicious and creamy cardamom cream cheese frosting. Once done, they're ready to serve!
I'd like to keep these cupcakes as simple as they are. But if you'd like, you can top them with gingerbread sprinkles for garnish!
