Hazelnut is a delicious flavoring we can use in any food. I love hazelnut milk tea, but I have never tried hazelnut in cupcakes. Apparently, it's so delicious that it will blow your mind!
If you love hazelnut, these cupcakes are going to be your favorite! These are basically chocolate cupcakes, except that it uses ground hazelnut instead of cocoa powder. The addition of hazelnut syrup helps in bringing out the flavor of the ground hazelnut. These cupcakes are moist, soft, and slightly crumbly. Chocolate and hazelnut are a perfect pair, which is why these cupcakes are made even better with a chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream frosting. Finally, top with Pirouline wafers for garnish.
To make these cupcakes extra special, it would be a good idea to add a crust in the cupcakes using crushed hazelnut cookies, melted butter, and sugar.
