So, if you're just like me and looking into making chocolate cupcakes taste better, this recipe is for you!
Start with double chocolate cupcakes as the base. You know the cupcakes are chocolatey because of both the cocoa powder and melted chocolate. Also, the addition of espresso powder brings out the chocolate flavor. Which is why coffee or espresso powder is common among all chocolate-based desserts. Then, each cupcake is filled with a cherry almond compote and topped with a delicious cherry mascarpone frosting. I must say this frosting is so delicious and would also be perfect for vanilla cupcakes as well!
