Holidays are never complete without a gingerbread dessert. And since I'm a more of a cupcake girl, I wanted to make the most delicious gingerbread cupcakes. There are various recipes online, but luckily I have found the best one!
These cupcakes have the component of what a gingerbread cupcake is: moist, soft, and spicy. Even though this is optional, I highly recommend adding in crystallized ginger and/or golden raisins to the batter because it adds texture to the cupcakes and keeps it moist. Each cupcake is also brushed with ginger soaking syrup, which is why the ginger flavor is strong. Finally, they are topped with a sweet buttercream frosting and crystallized ginger. These delicious cupcakes are the perfect dessert in the cold weather!
