There is a lot of strawberry cake mixes on the market. But why use a cake mix when you can make delicious strawberry cupcakes from scratch? These cupcakes are light and fluffy. Cake flour is used in this cupcake recipe to give it a nice, cakey texture. Additionally, you’ll be using frozen strawberries that you will puree. If you have fresh strawberries on hand, you can pop them in the freezer until frozen and then puree them. They are then topped with a delicious and creamy strawberry buttercream frosting. Finally, top with strawberry slices for garnish.
The great thing about these cupcakes is that they are naturally colored and flavored. The strawberry puree will produce a shade of light pink, but if you want the color to be darker, add in a few drops of pink or red gel paste.
