Diary of a Wimpy Kid is loved by many, especially the kids. It's a realistic story about the life of middle school graders. This is why a lot of kids can relate to it in so many ways. The books are so fun, and the movies are hilarious.
If you've seen the book covers, they are cute and I think they would make good cupcake toppers. So, this recipe will show you how to make Diary of a Wimpy Kid cupcakes! Start with any cupcake that you'd like. Choose your favorite frosting as well. Then, you can go ahead and make the Diary of a Wimpy Kid topper!
They are so easy to make! You will need chocolate, white, and light blue candy melts. To make the topper, print out a book cover and taped them to a cookie sheet. Then you can go ahead and trace the drawing, starting with the kid using the chocolate candy melts, then make straight lines using the blue candy melts, and finally, smear a bunch of melted white candy melts over the lines. It doesn’t have to look even, you want it to kind of look like torn notebook paper. Stick a popsicle stick to the white chocolate before placing it in the refrigerator. Once they are set, you can these on your cupcakes!
Instead of using one design for the topper, you can go ahead and use other designs as well. Since there is a total of 23 books in the series, you can choose any design from those. It would be great to make different toppers!
