I always think that Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to decorate cupcakes. I'm not much of a cupcake decorator, and I hate dealing with fondant. But I have found one way to easily decorate my lovely Valentine's Day cupcakes!

Instead of using fondants, decorate with sugar cookies! Easy, right? Start with baking heart-shaped sugar cookies. Then, frost with royal icing and decorate with red or pink decorating sugar. Once the frosting sets, you can now top these on your cupcakes! Everyone will definitely go crazy over these Valentine's Day cupcakes! You'll now have cupcakes and cookies in one dessert!
