I don't always make desserts with alcohol in it. Maybe because my audience is usually kids and obviously, I could never feed kids with spiked cupcakes. Weeks ago, a friend planned a party and asked if I can bring cupcakes with bourbon in it. Luckily, I found this recipe online!
These cupcakes have a delicious combination of sweet potatoes and bourbon. These cupcakes start with moist, soft, and spiced sweet potato cupcakes as the base. The cupcakes also have bourbon in it. They don't need a rich frosting as a vanilla glaze and bourbon glaze will do. The cupcakes are rich and flavorful enough that a buttercream frosting will definitely take its flavor. Unless you flavor the frosting with bourbon, it will be fine.
These sweet potato cupcakes are dipped into a vanilla glaze, then a bourbon glaze. Finally, they are topped with candied pecans. These delicious cupcakes would be the perfect party dessert from on!
