Boston cream pie is one of the best desserts on Earth. It’s made up of a vanilla cake, vanilla pastry cream, and a chocolate ganache frosting. If you don't think it's incredibly delicious, I'm sure there is something wrong with you. Well, if you can't make up your mind about the Boston cream pie, I'm sure these cupcakes will finally convince you!
This delicious dessert tastes like a real Boston cream pie but in cupcake form! Start with vanilla cupcakes as the base. They are moist and crumbly, but not too heavy. A Boston cream pie will never be complete without the cream filling, so make sure to fill each cupcake with that. Finally, top with a sweet chocolate frosting.
Since you will fill each cupcake, you need to cut out the core. You can use a cupcake corer or an apple corer for this, but if the two aren't available, you can just cut it out using a knife. Hold a baked and cooled cupcake in one hand and insert a small paring knife, at an angle, about halfway down into the cupcake. Cut out a cone-shaped piece out of the center of each cupcake. Then, you can finally fill your cupcakes with the delicious filling!
