These cupcakes use a recipe from scratch. They're so easy and quick to make! Start with the mocha cupcakes. You can also use a chocolate cake mix for this, just add 1-2 tbsp espresso powder. Then, fill these cupcakes with caramel syrup. Finally, top them off with a delicious mocha cream frosting. You can decorate these cupcakes in so many ways: top each cupcake with a candy ball, drizzle more caramel syrup on top or dust cocoa powder on top of each cupcake. Make them however you like!
Additionally, you can make these cupcakes the way you want it to. You can make them as salted caramel mocha cupcakes or peppermint mocha cupcakes, which is more perfect for Christmas!
Also, in baking these cupcakes, you have to keep your eye on them like a hawk. You bake them for 20 minutes, but sometimes they tend to look ready but are actually not. You don't want your cupcakes to be underbaked or overbaked. So, to make sure they'll bake perfectly, you have to test them out before removing from the heat. You can either use a toothpick or touch the center of the cupcake. You'll know they're ready if the toothpick comes out clean, without a wet batter or when you touch the cupcake and it springs back!
