The frosting has an intense chocolate flavor and brings out the flavor of the cupcakes. One tip when making chocolate cupcakes: always add coffee to the batter to amplify some of the bitter notes in the cocoa powder. Also, coffee brings out the chocolate flavor more.

This recipe uses a cone method to fill the cupcakes. This method might take slightly longer, so if you're not patient enough to do this, use an apple corer to make a hole in the cupcakes!
