Every year, I am excited about the pumpkin season. I look forward to making delicious pumpkin treats, and I spend time on the internet to look for the best recipes. And lately, I have discovered a new gem and that is these pumpkin snickerdoodle cupcakes.
This recipe will definitely give you the twist to the already delicious pumpkin cupcakes. Start off with pumpkin cupcakes as the base. You can either use a yellow cake or a white cake. Then, add in the spices such as pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Although made with a cake mix, they are soft and moist all because of the addition of the pumpkin puree and applesauce. They are then topped with a delicious cinnamon sugar cream cheese frosting. Finally, top with more of the cinnamon sugar.
Additionally, if you have the time to bake a few snickerdoodle cookies, top each cupcake with a cookie to complete the dessert.
