I love how fall is all about all kinds of pumpkin desserts. Fall is my favorite season, and once fall starts, I always wanted to get into my fall baking mood. And when fall starts, you'll start to smell my entire house to be of pumpkin scent. I stopped myself from baking at the beginning of September, but I really couldn't help it, so here I am, baking pumpkin cupcakes in the middle of September!
These pumpkin cupcakes are dense and moist, just like a good carrot cake. They are perfectly spiced but not overly spiced so all the spices won't overpower the pumpkin. Then, they are topped with a classic cream cheese frosting, but with a twist with the help of cinnamon and maple syrup. You can top them with a dusting of cinnamon for garnish. These cupcakes would be the perfect holiday dessert this year!
