I would not normally make a dessert out of peaches and dulce de leche. But I found this recipe online and I was so intrigued, I tried it right away. I was actually surprised at how this dessert turned out, so I wanted to share them with you!
The cupcakes are what you can call a "peach queen cake." These cupcakes are extremely moist, soft, and have a beautiful texture all because of the chopped pecans and peaches. They are perfectly baked with a golden brown top which would make you want to dig into them right away. Then, they are topped with a simple dulce de leche Swiss meringue buttercream frosting.
Making dulce de leche at home takes several hours, but I've always liked the good old method of doing it. But if you don't prefer this, you can always get a store-bought dulce de leche.
